At TSA guidelines for the treatment portable announced that passengers pass through security without unloading their cargo laptops – to be honest, we all rejoice. The most common van these guidelines, the neoprene laptop sleeve, yet not as hand luggage, but rather a “skin” for your laptop to avoid the hit and pushed around too veel. So in that scenario, it probably still has a purse, in addition to the notebook. If you do not. . . Well, then you probably do not really need to be looking for in a laptop bag.
Unfortunately, this is the “Generation # 1″ portable security bags, so there’s plenty of things to come in crooked. And do not forget the cost of factor newest, brightest thing in the market. This Case Logic SCS-116 MSRP $ 100 – worth compared to a $ 40 bag, you bring your laptop and turn it into a plastic container?
Pros – Half not portable bag compartment has many well-segmented and unsegmented. Good for keeping gadgets such as blackberries, phones, MP3 players, power cords, pens, books, etc..
– Small semi-hidden “wallet” hole to hide money.
– Closure of woven nylon and rough to the daily stress of treating around a bag.
– metal zipper sliders are made of plastic (a big plus in my book.) zipper teeth are usually plastic with the exception of the zipper, which is metal. All the zippers on my bag got nice and cozy.
– Keeps my 15. 4 “laptop like a champ – much padding, plenty of space.
– Put my Inspiron 1720 17″ laptop, just to see if there is. “Type” would be a good description – the adaptation of the laptop, but only because I removed the battery (Dell laptops have a battery configuration is on the back). The portable 17 “is pushing at the seams of the compartment, which is not much padding on the left side. Not bad for a bag that is advertised as a 16″ laptop bag.
Cons:
– No headphone hole – found it strange for Case Logic.
– very little filling in the center of the case is not portable – watch your gadgets!
– None of the compartments can be 180 degrees (other than the lock, open of course), most of the shelves is only halfway so that “fish mouth” of access.
– A kind of heavy – up to 4 pounds, the weight add up quickly on his shoulders. It is not as solid as a part of the laptop bags made from leather and other similar, but not a featherweight either.
– No laptop strap to secure laptop. So if you get a netbook or a 15. 4 “notebook in which half the cases there is no way to get it in place.
– No expansion – this is not a postcard om take stock extended, so if you take many things into meestal their hand luggage, this may not be the right choice for you. The non-laptop bag is made for all flat items – books, papers, folders, etc. />
But this is not a bad stab in the rapidly expanding “security friendly laptop bag in the market. If you travel to and from the airports as part of her life, and then have something like this would cost to justify. However, if you are looking for a laptop bag in the remote Possibility that u can take a flight to see family every six months or so, it is better buying a cheaper (probably functional) laptop bag, and only a neoprene slip cover for your laptop when you finally got to the airport. For “security friendly” side of the house, I would like to see this bag is put a little lighter (better material), and slightly more functional (a full opening of compartments).

I took my laptop – and my Blackberry, Kindle, organizer, boots, wallet, sunglasses, tickets, water bottle, and a lot of other things – through large and small airports last week, wrapped in the great Case Logic case. As others fought their laptops from their cases, juggling his shoes and jackets, in a case that falls on the ground, I opened a few zips, states the case flat on the conveyor belt, and sailed through the line.
This protection would be easy enough to make this an ideal travel case to make room for a laptop. Add the thick coating, a logical design with compartments for files, magazines and other electronic instruments, and all the little everyday items that you must do, and you have a winner. There is even a sort of extra loop on the dorsal side flat so you can quickly capture from any angle.
The case is made of durable materials and attractive to a man or a women to wear, and fits perfectly under an airplane seat. I can not think of one improvement to suggest.

SCS-116 Case Logic Security Friendly Laptop Case is certainly a case of full-size with plenty of storage for your laptop and related accessories. It is well stocked, and although I think the overall look for something soft is acceptable as a business case. It’s made for laptops in the range of 15 to 16 inches, for the most popular size notebook on the market today. I found the shoulder strap so, yes, but I love the leather padded carry handles. The enclosed compartment is ideal for file folders and a stowaway and 8 1 / 2 x 11 documents. “Room for the laptop is well padded, but the other compartments filled for the protection of elements such as the Adapter A / C / charger, mobile phone, wireless mouse, or other sensitive items you may want to pop in this bad for an easy transportation. With a weight of 3 lbs. 14 ounces, this evil is certainly not a featherweight, but it’s pretty lightweight compared with the executive leather case I usually use daily.
So what is all the fuss was friendly security here? Well, this model is designed for Case Logic open flat for easy access in the security checks at airports and on condition that the shoulder strap attached to the bag simply take the band and the program closed without the need to stop and pocket zipper closed. This brings the safeguards a task quickly and easily, compared to what one usually encounters a traditional laptop bag.
Things I like the majority on this issue:
1. Makes entering and leaving an airport security quick and painless task.
2. Including generous storage compartments for accessories all shapes and sizes, and file sharing for folders and documents and even books.
3. The zippers are well made and open / close without problems all the time.
4. Covered by one year until 25!
I do not like in this case:
1. The padding around the edges of the portable cabin is almost nonexistent.
2. There is no filling in or around the outer pockets, so delicate items susceptible to damage.
3. openings in the exposed top laptop compartment, which potential liquid and / or debris to enter the case and possibly damage the equipment.
4. Executives probably find the appeal of this case is very soft.
5. rather expensive for a simple case in search of material for nylon. I paid a bit more attractive, all leather case.
Overall I’m very pleased with this portable case. It is very well made and designed with the traveler in mind. However, because of their appearance is simple and unprofessional, I prefer my leather case managers to help when customers arrive and when traveling by car rather than plane. The Case Logic SCS -116 also prevents me from performing other sensitive electronic equipment like my Kindle because of the lack of padding on the outside pockets. I believe that frequent flyer that this matter is welcome. With improvements in the design or lower prices would be a 5-star product, but for the money that this current model deserves a solid 4 stars.

I have not had the opportunity to take this bag through an airport to see how easy and quick completion of the investigation of the TSA. But beyond that, here are some other ideas about this bag:
1) is quite large and is easily my 14 “Dell. There are many different compartments of various sizes. If you do a wide range of accessories, you get all the love you have space to store things. But if you travel light then this bag is definitely too big for their needs. “is certainly in full size.
< , br /> 2) The belt is attached to a strange place in the bag. I understand that part of the design is rapidly closing, but I found that makes the band turned once in a while.
;
3) The central compartment is not fully closed. The zippers on both sides, but the two zippers on the corners to stop completely and the zipper at the top. It is a great thing, but it makes center compartment most susceptible to spills or rain so be careful with that.
usually feels well made. I did not intentionally misused to see how much of a beating can make, but I ‘m pretty sure it will protect my laptop from bumps and bruises of routine, and maybe even the occasional fall. I wish there was an external “instant access” pockets for things like feathers or a pack of gum, but otherwise I no real complaints.

This is my second case of my laptop Case Logic original purchase of a case for a 15 “laptop in 2003. When just a 17″ laptop I bought, I needed a new case the original is too small for the new laptop.
I found that the current Case Logic website. I searched the model by selecting “Security Friendly” and check the computer model in “My laptop fit? Consistent with the selection of the SCS-116. I was impressed with the features, including the” flat start “the design speed airport security without removing your laptop. />
I loaded the new SCS-116 with the laptop and took it to work and road trips. I immediately like the new one as it weighed about 1 / 2 of what the old thing is heavy. The case is a good balance and not fall in one direction as my father. There are many sections to your items, business cards, pens, memory cards, tickets, mice, etc. Keep There is a zippered compartment foothold only medium that can contain a flat object such as wire and cables. An excellent feature is that the laptop from the top to download, just unzip and remove. With my old man had to unpack and the lid of the box as a box of Velcro and the United Nations, the laptop strap securly in place to open.
This week I went through the application of the airport and the role of open and went through the X-ray security inspection. This feature alone is worth buying. With my old laptop bag, I have the laptop and unpack it in a separate plastic container X-ray inspection, this is a real task and reveals damaging the laptop.
What’s nice about the SCS-116 is that I can a mobile phone (Blackberry) and watch in my pocket for the airport X-ray Inspection So when I went through the metal detectors these items are not in me to stop there.
Cons of SCS-116 is the edge or the side padding is short and that could expose a larger (wider) laptop loss should something solid influence in the area. The front and back filling curves around the border or side to help protect the area. This can be improved. This would not be a problem for a 15 “laptop.
In all that this case would be recommended and is an improvement over my old one. I take this case all the sites you’ve a laptop and a good light traveler. Case Logic has done an excellent job in carrying this product.
