Many publishers of textbooks and many still have near monopoly on publishing books needed for college and university students. Monopoly almost always translate into higher prices, which in turn, to force students look for used books or sharing a book. Previously, even to get a book that is used is difficult. The University bookstore has a limited run of good quality used books, which had always been caught by the regular morning birds. However, the landscape changed dramatically when the Internet arrived.

I am tired of getting ripped off by buying my textbooks at our book store so I want to buy online.

If you google there are thousands of results that come up and I have no idea which is the best or which is the most reputable and will get me what I need.

From your guys’ experience, what is the best place to buy new/used college textbooks?

Since school is starting up, buying textbooks at school can be costly. I’ve searched sites like Amazon for cheap new or used textbooks but they are only a few cents cheaper than at school. Any other good websites to look at when buying online textbooks?
